Notes from the floor, June 17, 2009––
Expand your creative experience during Art on the Rocks and the Outback Art Fair July 25th and 26th with a visit to the U.P. Children's Museum. With Art on the Rocks moving to the Lower Harbor, we are closer than ever!

“Follow the Yellow Brick Road”
Help us complete our Yellow Brick Road right now by honoring your child, grand child, organization or business with an engraved bench, planter, paver or brick in our beautiful Yellow Brick Road Courtyard. Call or visit the Museum for more info, click here for a form.

School of Rock
Friday, June 26 (outside in the Museum Courtyard)
5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
Come check out Bobby Hayes and his young music students as they “rock the house.” They will let all kids join in on one of their instruments. For your child it could be the first time for playing some electric guitar, bass, or drums. While it may not be Woodstock, it is…to quote Museum Director Nheena Weyer Ittner…"very, very adorable."

Second Thursday Creativity Series
“Beach Party”
Thursday, July 9
5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
For preschool and elementary-aged children and an adult.
Loads of fun, hands-on activities with a "beach" theme, plus Fruit and Veggie Ventures, unexpected music and more.
Wear fun summer clothes!
Free with admission or membership
Sponsored by the MI Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs, Plum Creek Foundation, Kohls, Culvers and the Marquette County Active Living Task Force for Fruit and Veggie Ventures.

Listening to the River

Join the Playmakers Club and help ALL families enjoy the Museum!
To make the Museum accessible to families of all income levels, we've launched the Playmakers Club to provide annual memberships to qualifying families through charitable donations.

For every $100 tax-deductible donation you designate for the Playmakers Club, you'll have the satisfaction of knowing that a family of need is able to enjoy the excitement and energy of the exhibits and programs at the U.P. Children's Museum for an entire year.

You may donate with a credit card by calling the Museum at 906-226-3911, or for a mail-in donation form, click here.
