8-18 Media's story methodology relies in part on the tape-recorded spoken word making the program accessible to children of varying levels of literacy skills. Membership is free and there is no academic prerequisite to join. Members must be able to work in the news bureau at the Upper Peninsula Children's Museum in Marquette, Mich.
